Like a candle in the wind….
Wow, ten years today. I can tell you where I was: I was on AOL in the women’s chat room. We were all shocked and stunned, frantically “talking” as the news unfolded. One reporter- whoever he was- called it right just a week or two before in “The Star”: the story was about how Diana’s life was endangered because the Royals had pulled her government provided security. Instead of trained professionals, she had to be in a hired limo driven by a drunk- just stupid. But she was a legend long before the accident. She once said to imagine her life imagine a wedding every single day, and every single day being the bride. Maybe if she’d been short and dumpy, but the camera loved her.
I hope if William marries his sweetheart, Kate Middleton, the press leaves them alone. I doubt it though, because William seems to have the same magic.
