Day 30!
Well, when this post gets published, it means I’ve made it through “NaBloPoMo”! It’s been fun. I’ve met some new people. I didn’t get writer’s block too many times. I’m not going away, but I’ll probably slack back to writing every 2/3 days as I did before.
In Celebrity News: Brett Favre got hurt in the game last night! Oh no! Loathsome Dallas won! I read in the gossip columns that Tony Romo is dating Jessica Simpson. They would make a cute couple. But 2 people in the public eye is hard
Mike is in mourning: His sweetie, Jennifer Love Hewitt, has announced her engagement to a handsome Scottish actor. She’s about 28, so it’s time. She seems pretty smart and sane for a former child star. I sympathize with Mike though- I had this problem with Paul McCartney. When I was young and single, he was with Jane Asher first and then married Linda. Now I’m married to Mike and Paul is single again. It’s not really a problem- but if you’re going to fantasize, beautiful show business people is the way to go. You don’t think there are women who fantasize about Dick Cheney do ya?
“I’m a Bum…vote for Me” Well it doesn’t happen that way. But it’s interesting how the Presidency is now the Millionaires Club. I surfed around the net for a fact finding tour. Ron Paul might only be a “thousandaire”- I read something that he continued to deliver babies after he was elected to Congress. Obama’s star is rising; he’s estimated to be worth about a paltry $2 million, in large part from the royalties from his books. Giuliani made over $10 million in 2004- he does a lot of speaking, and is a partner in a high flying law firm. Edwards’ is said to be worth about $30 million. Really coming up in the world are the Clintons; I read they liquidated their “blind trust” and netted $50 million. Oh, he gives speeches too. I won’t vote for Romney, but not because he’s a different religion. He’s too rich; worth at least $200 million. Give some of it away, Mitt. And change your hair! I won’t try to make you change your mind about a candidate- pick somebody and vote.
Life’s Little Triumphs! I have finished my first complete pair of socks. I used a tutorial pattern designed by Kristin. http://www.cometosilver.com/socks and worked them up in “Essential” from KnitPicks.com in the color “Tucson” I wasn’t trying for socks to match the carpet, but that orange is definitely there!

But I digress. If’ you’ve been with me lo these thirty days- thank you. It’s kind of like having a house in a village and people come and knock on the door. Great! Come in! I make cookies.

I bet Ann Coulter fantasizes about Dick Cheney.
