The Red Bellied Woodpeckers started showing up at the bird feeder again a few weeks ago. They were gone for the worst part of Winter. This isn’t my picture- I had to find one released to the public. They’re so shy and skittish I haven’t had any luck getting near one with my camera. They like the suet cakes I put out. One pair must be sitting a nest because he comes and eats and flies home with some in his beak!
