I wish my life was non-stop Hollywood movie show
A fantasy world of celluloid villains and heroes
Because celluloid heroes never feel any pain
And celluloid heroes never really die
-Ray Davies & The Kinks, 1972
And now Harvey Korman has passed on. The Lord said there were many mansions, and I like to think there might be some […]

Fashion Club Meeting is Called to Order!: I never thought I’d defend Hillary about anything, but she’s taking a lot of heat from television comedians and columnists about her pantsuits. So, what do they want her to wear? I can’t see her campaigning in a chiffon dress with matching beads! Nobody is on McCain […]

Short homeowner rant: If you don’t live in a city with a water treatment plant, your waste water (and all that includes) is taken away to a tank in the ground. It’s all very natural, biodegradable even. The stuff which we won’t discuss here is broken down by bacteria and flows back into the ground. […]

I heard that term on the Grandy and Andy radio show yesterday. It’s the new trend- everybody’s doing it. Means you have time off, but can’t afford to go anywhere. As you might expect the news is all about the high price of benzina.
On the Today show, they showed a fellow filling up his big […]

Hi! It’s going to be one of those days, when I string some randomness together.
Does it come in D cup?Remember the candy necklaces we girls were so fond of? Check this out: http://www.collectionsetc.com/images/product/xlarge/xlarge_92098.
It was in the Collections, Etc. catalog. I think it’s a look that would work better for a small lady though. […]

There’s probably a technical reason why it can’t be done, but wouldn’t it be cool when you change your blog theme, the old theme stays up on the older posts? I’m trying this one on for size. I love the outer space graphic, but it makes me feel like I should be blogging about Cosmology […]

“but this is too pale” As I warned you, I’m trying out different themes. Something with a bit of color; a warm color, like peach-that’s what I need! Or with lovely fantasy art, like these fishies by Royce McClure: http://www.haiks-inc.com/product_images/HI-ROYCE-C6280-BRITE.JPG
This haze gray is just a try on. Also, the font is a bit dim- […]

Regular gas- $3.79 a gallon down on the corner. Bet it will be $4.00 for Memorial Day.
Dannon Yogurt- $1.09 for a small container. Yucky gelatinized store brand on sale for .59!
Days like this make me miss my guinea pigs!
Now that I’ve hugged the virtual guinea pig, I have a small bit of happy news.
Loni […]

Our local library offers the best service ever! I can search their catalog from home and if I find a book I want, type in my card number and reserve it. If it’s a bestseller or fairly new, it automatically puts me in the queue for the book and I check a box indicating the […]

Tonight I heard the wild goose cry
Hangin’ north in the lonely sky
Tried to sleep, it warn’t no use
’cause I am a brother to the old wild goose
Oh, my heart knows what the wild goose knows
And I must go where the wild goose goes
Wild goose, brother goose, which is best?
A wanderin’ fool or a heart at […]
