Over Well, Please!
I am not a technical person, so pardon my limp explanation. For some years now there has been an experiment going on at Princeton U- called the Global Consciousness Project. They monitor the Internet for blips and such to collect data on what we’re talking about. A red “egg” is bad because it [...]

Here’s the latest round of harvest from the garden!
Let’s see- I went outside to get some potatoes. I pulled up 1 1/2 plants and got about a dozen potatoes. They’re redskin variety. Four are huge and the rest are smallish and will made nice additions to salad. There’s about a dozen tomatoes- most of [...]

It’s a trend I guess. Sometimes the hottest part of the year here is at the beginning of June, before the first day of summer. It’s supposed to reach at least 90 today. On the news they talk about the “heat index”. Meaning sometimes when it’s 90 outside, it’s so humid it feels much hotter. [...]

I wish my life was non-stop Hollywood movie show
A fantasy world of celluloid villains and heroes
Because celluloid heroes never feel any pain
And celluloid heroes never really die
-Ray Davies & The Kinks, 1972
And now Harvey Korman has passed on. The Lord said there were many mansions, and I like to think there might be some [...]

Hi! It’s going to be one of those days, when I string some randomness together.
Does it come in D cup?Remember the candy necklaces we girls were so fond of? Check this out: http://www.collectionsetc.com/images/product/xlarge/xlarge_92098.
It was in the Collections, Etc. catalog. I think it’s a look that would work better for a small lady though. [...]

Hi- I want to show you the BIG cherry tree! This is the bird and chipmunk buffet. It’s regular sweet cherries. The tree is just so big I don’t seem to reach many of the cherries. You know those bucket trucks the electric company drives? I guess there’s a reason they are [...]

I want twin beds. If there were a fence between the two beds, perhaps with an electric fence it would be perfect.
All this marital togetherness is going to be the death of me! Back when we were 20 somethings, we were thinner and there was more room in the bed!
It seems to be my [...]

We watched Michael Moore’s latest film, Sicko, last night. He did a good job pointing out the outrageous, greed driven mess that is “the health industry” in America. Please watch it. Rent it, or check it out at the library. It gives us all something to think about.
There are moments in the [...]

It’s Beatles week around here. Wednesday night I finally got to see Across The Universe. I knew I would love it. They grabbed me with the first scene: Jude sitting alone on the beach singing, “is there anybody going to listen to my story?” Mike watched it with me and while he isn’t much of [...]

Well, we finally watched “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” the other day. I think I loved it. But also, my brain kind of went, “um- what was that?” I do enjoy Monty Python and the occasional Dr. Who. So if you enjoy things like that, you’ll love it too. Now I have to read the [...]
